Patrick Mahomes is now a married guy.
The Super Bowl-winning quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs just married his long-time partner Brittany Mahomes.
To announce the nuptials, he resorted to social media channels. The lovebird walked down the aisle in a fairy tale wedding in Hawaii on Saturday, March 12.
The quarterback, 26, and his better half, 26, were joined in marriage by close friends and family.
Mahomes, donned a grey suit for the occasion, while Matthews, wore a gorgeous white gown with cutouts along her torso.
Jackson Mahomes, Patrick’s younger brother, served as best man, and Travis Kelce, a Kansas City Chiefs teammate, served as groomsman. Kayla Nicole, Kelce's girlfriend, was one of Brittany's bridesmaids.
Sterling Skye, the couple's one-year-old daughter, served as a flower girl at the much-anticipated wedding at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, where Jackson snapped a few images.
Both Mahomes and Matthews captioned their photographs with, "Mr. & Mrs. Mahomes 🤍."
Mahomes' Instagram comment area erupted with congratulatory remarks as soon as he posted his wedding photo. Randi Mahomes, his mother, sent out a tweet saying, “My firstborn is married!! God is great”.
The long-awaited day for Matthews and Mahomes came more than a year after the Chiefs quarterback — who led the team to Super Bowl LIV triumph — proposed on his now-25th wife's birthday on Sept. 1, 2020. Brittany wrote a heartfelt Instagram post saying,
'My heart is so full! I love this man so incredibly much and today was so so special!' she wrote at the time. 'Couldn't imagine this day being any more perfect.'
At Arrowhead Stadium, Mahomes proposed an elaborate display that included hundreds of white roses. According to images posted to Matthews' Instagram Story at the time, the pair then spent a romantic candlelit meal together.
