Cheyann Shaw, a well-known fitness influencer, passed away after a long battle with cancer at the age of 27. The official statement came through a post on her Instagram handle on January 4. Before her death, the fitness influencer had been battling stage 4 ovarian cancer since 2016.

Cheyann Shaw was born on January 15, 1993. Her father may have been absent from her social media posts, but her mother, Darci Clark, often made appearances on Cheyann’s Instagram. Darci had even launched a Go Fund Me campaign after Cheyann’s cancer diagnosis.
According to a post on her Instagram, Cheyann maintained a great bond with her step-mom as well.
For her education, Cheyann attended Glendale Community College and Green River College.
Cheyann Shaw Passed Away After A Long Battle With Ovarian Cancer
The fitness influencer was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2016. But she wasn't willing to back down any soon. When talking to People, Cheyann showed her immense determination to beat cancer.
When I was first diagnosed, I was scared, but it went away quickly. I knew that I had no choice but to fight. I wasn’t going to let cancer win. I also knew that my husband and family need me, and there is no way I am leaving them. - Cheyann Shaw on People
With such a strong determination and a positive mindset, Cheyann actually beat cancer in March 2018. She went on to announce the happy news on her Instagram as well. Unfortunately, the disease returned in January 2020.
Despite the second hit from cancer, Cheyann continued to document her battle journey and frequently updated on her health until her last breath.
Sadly, the fitness influencer passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 27.
Cheyann Was Happily Married
Cheyann was married to her husband, Kaleb - they tied the knot on September 10, 2016, when Cheyann was 23. She started dating Kaleb when she was 20.
When Cheyann died, her husband shared his grief of losing Cheyann as he announced her death on his Instagram as well.
