DaniLeigh (real name Danielle Leigh Curiel) is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and choreographer. She came into the limelight after she worked with Prince on the music video for Breakfast Can Wait.

Who Is DaniLeigh?
DaniLeigh was born on 20th December 1994 in Miami, Florida. Her parents Vladimir and Vicky Curiel, hails from the Dominican Republic. DaniLeigh also has a younger brother named Brandon and a younger sister Bella Dose and Brianna Leah.
Since her youth, she was interested in music and cited Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, Drake, and Rihanna as her influence.
At the age of 12, DaniLeigh started dancing, and by 14, she started singing as well. However, she was shy to sing in front of others until she received positive feedback.
She made her YouTube channel and posted vocal covers of songs such as Musiq Soulchild’s So Beautiful. However, her official career did not start until she relocated to Los Angels, where she began as a backup dancer and formed part of the pop duo Curly Fryz with her sister Brianna Leah.
When DaniLeigh reached 18, she gained considerable attention and was asked by Prince to direct the video for his single "Breakfast Can Wait." Sadly, Prince died on 21st April 2016 in Paisley Park, Chanhassen, Minnesota, United States.
DaniLeigh sang with Def Jan Records and released her first EP, Summer with Friends, in 2017. She also released a few more singles like “Lil Bebe,” “Easy” (remixed featuring vocals from singer Chris Brown).
In 2019, DaniLeigh choreographed for DaBaby’s music video “BOP on Broadway.”
Backlash For Promoting Her Upcoming Song Yellow Bone
DaniLeigh teased a song titled “Yellow Bone” in mid-January 2021 via Instagram. Her use of the term “Yellow Bone” drew all the public's attention, and the public came into an intense fire accusing her of promoting colorism via her song.
However, DaniLeigh remained defiant and said, why can’t she make a song for her light skin baddies. Eventually, she deleted the post.

DaniLeigh is reportedly dating an American rapper, singer, and songwriter, DaBaby. They have been together for nearly a year, and Dani also helped him choreograph his music video BOP in 2019.
On 5th December 2020, DaniLeigh posted a picture with DaBaby captioning, “My baby IDC.”
Her snap soon received over million likes and also received congratulatory comments.
