Hotel Tycoon Bill Hutchinson Sued Over Sexually Assaulting Teenage Girls

Bill Hutchinson, a Texas hotel mogul, and reality TV star arrested on one count of sexual assault, which is a second-degree felony in Texas sued by the family of a Tarrant County girl.

The girl referred to as Jane Doe 2 to keep her anonymity alleges she was abused by Bill Hutchinson after she became friends with his ex-wife’s daughter and moved in with the family.

Jane Doe alleged in the affidavit that Bill touched her without her consent several times, including inappropriate massages and groping.

The news outlets report, in May, she was intoxicated and fell asleep on Hutchinson's couch and alleges that when she woke up, Hutchinson was assaulting her.

The assaults continued for two months in Laguna Beach and Highland Park, Texas, an affluent Dallas suburb.

The lawsuit alleges that Jane Doe agreed to move in with Hutchinson’s family after her parents moved from Highland Park to Fort Worth, so she would not have to change schools. While living with the family, Jane traveled with Hutchinson and the other girls to his homes in Miami, Laguna Beach, and a resort in Arizona. He provided alcohol and allowed the children [in his home] to smoke marijuana.

Charles Soechting, Jr. – a Texas-based attorney who is among those representing the girl – said in a statement announcing the lawsuit.

“Mr. Hutchinson will soon learn the hard lesson that wealth, power, and celebrity does not grant someone a license to sexually assault children in Texas or anywhere else.”

In Bill’s first courtroom appearance, he pleaded not guilty and was freed on a $100,000 bond. Levi McCathern, an attorney representing Hutchinson.

“I believe the filing of this lawsuit has revealed to the public what we have always known: that this is really about money,”

“The allegations supporting the criminal and civil case are and have always been false, and we look forward to showing as much with our day in court.”

Bill Hutchinson was charged with one count of sexual assault; however, he denied the charge and was released on a $30,000 bond.

Bill said,

"I'm innocent of this charge and accusation. Anyone who knows me in this city knows that I am not capable of assault, sexual or otherwise. Hopefully, all of my colleagues and friends will give me the benefit of the doubt until I prove my innocence in court."

Days later, authorities in Orange County, California filed one felony count of rape and five misdemeanor counts of sexual battery against Hutchinson in cases involving the same girl and a second teenager.

Bill Hutchinson faced another civil suit in Texas filed by a woman in her 20s who alleged Bill got her intoxicated and took her to her Dallas apartment where he groped her and placed her hand on his penis. According to the Dallas Morning News, the incident was partially captured with her cellphone.
