Miss India Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe 2021 on Sunday.
Sandhu, 21, triumphed over 79 other contenders from a variety of nations and territories, including runner-up Miss Paraguay Nadia Ferreira and second runner-up Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane.
Before doing her first walk as the new Miss Universe on the stage in Eilat, Israel, Sandhu was presented with the crown by her successor, Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza.

Harnaaz Sandhu, a 21-year-old Punjabi beauty queen, was just crowned Miss Universe 2021 at the 70th Miss Universe pageant.
The event took place in Eilat, Israel on December 13, 2021. It was a large competition in which she beat out 79 other competitors. The rivalry among the 80 entrants was fierce.
Sandhu, an actor who draws inspiration from Priyanka Chopra, is a strong advocate for women's empowerment. She enjoys yoga, dancing, cooking, horseback riding, and chess in her spare time.

Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu was born in Chandigarh, Punjab, in the year 2000.
Harnaaz Sandhu went to Chandigarh's Shivalik Public School and Post Graduate Government College for Girls. The diva is pursuing her Master's degree in Public Administration at the moment.
Miss Chandigarh 2017 and Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018 are among the titles Harnaaz has won since she began competing in pageants at the age of 17.
After being crowned Femina Miss India Punjab in 2019, the model then competed in Femina Miss India. Femina Miss India placed her in the top 12 contestants.
