James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet have tied the knot!
The younger brother of the Duchess of Cambridge got married to his French partner in a ceremony in the Côte d’Azur village of Bormes-les-Mimosas over the weekend.
James took to his Instagram to announce the happy news as he posted a picture of him and Alizee from the wedding.
He wrote, “Mr & Mrs Middleton ❤️ Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village or Bormes-les-Mimosas. Words cannot describe how happy I am ❤️”
Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly attended the wedding alongside James’ other sister, Pippa Matthews, and his parents Michael and Carole Middleton.
The wedding finally took place after being postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Who is Alizee Thevenet?
Alizee Thevenet is an established finance analyst by profession. She can speak Spanish and English, alongside her native language French, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She grew up living in six different countries that include Germany, Chile, France, Belgium, Indonesia, and England.
Her educational background includes having attended Lycee Francais Jean Monnet for a year in 2006. She went to Haute Ecole ‘Groupe ICHEC - ISC Saint-Louis - ISFSC’ for her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business/Management.
Alizee then went to Queen Mary, the University of London for her Master’s degree in Investment and Finance.
Alizee’s Dad Adores James Middleton
It was in January 2019 when Alizee’s father, Jean-Gabriel Thevenet, talked about his daughter’s partner, in an interview with Daily Mail.
“James is a very charming man,” he remarked. “I am very happy that Alizee is together with James. I know she is very happy.”
“We keep our fingers crossed for them...James and the Middleton family are very charming. We have a lot of admiration for the whole Middleton family—James, his sisters and his parents.”

The first time the couple was spotted was in 2018 when the two went to the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund’s Christmas Carol Service at St. Luke’s Church.
It wasn’t long before they were seen on a vacation in St. Barts with James’ sister, Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews.
Alizee and James only made their first official public appearance together at Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston’s wedding.
James didn’t wait long to get down on one knee as he proposed to Alizee with a diamond ring in the Lake District in 2019.
