K-pop girl band Blackpink finally released their long-anticipated album "The Album" alongside dropping a video of "Lovesick Girl." “Lovesick Girls” follows previously released The Album songs “Ice Cream” featuring Selena Gomez.
Lovesick Girl is produced by Teddy, 24, R.Tee, Brian Lee, David Guetta, Leah Haywood, and Blackpink member Jennie. Jisoo and Jennie were also part of writing the lyrics of the track.
The song lyrics with a chorus, "We are the lovesick girls," represent the heartbreak they dealt with in their own way. Despite the tears, the uplifting chorus presents the better days, as does their dancing through the pain and taking a freeing ride into the countryside in a convertible together. “We were born to be alone,” they sing, “But why we still looking for love.”
Fun Facts, just within an hour of Blackpink's "Lovesick Girls" release, they have hit 10 million views on YouTube.
Their album also includes the Cardi B collaboration, “Bet You Wanna.” This year, the Blackpink also teamed up with Lady Gaga for the Grammy winner’s Chromatica track “Sour Candy.”
Later this same month, The Blackpink is said to hit another milestone with the premiere of its first K-pop documentary, Light Up The Sky, on 14th October 2020. Light Up the Sky traces the Blackpink member's rise to fame and features interviews alongside footage from the member's early trainee days to their 2019 appearance at Coachella.
