What is Tori Spelling's Net Worth in 2022? The Actress Owes $38K in Credit Card Debt

Tori Spelling has run into financial difficulties once more. According to The Sun, the actress owes $38,378.58 to American Express, which has attempted to collect the money many times.

The bank was able to obtain a "writ of execution" on Tori Spelling in 2020 for failing to pay her credit, which had escalated to $88,731.25 at the time.

After her accounts were seized in April 2020, it appears that American Express collected roughly $50,000 of the amount.

In March 2019, court papers sought that her employer, WEtv, withhold $38,378.58 from her wages.

However, Tori "does not work at this place of employment," according to paperwork submitted on October 20, 2021, rendering the injunction "ineffective."

What is Tori Spelling’s Net Worth Now?

At one point in her life, the star of Beverly Hills, 90210 was estimated to be worth between $15 and $20 million.

The majority of her wealth is said to have come from her late father, producer Aaron Spelling. At the time of his death, he was estimated to be valued at between $500 and 600 million dollars.

Tori is said to be worth between $300,000 and $500,000 and has had little liquidity in recent years.

In her 2013 memoir, "Spelling It Like It Is," the actress discussed her extravagant lifestyle choices and her inability to control them. In her book, she expands on this.

"Google thought I was worth fifteen million dollars," she wrote. "Fifteen million dollars! I didn't have one million. We had some income here and there but no savings apart from our retirement accounts."

The 48-year-old also talked about her lavish lifestyle choices and inability to tame them. She elaborated this in her book:

"Even when I try to embrace a simpler lifestyle, I can't seem to let go of my expensive tastes. Even when my tastes aren't fancy, they're still costly. I moved houses to simplify my life but lost almost a million dollars along the way."

Tori Spelling’s History of Financial Troubles

Tori Spelling apparently declared herself bankrupt in 2013 and borrowed money from her multi-millionaire mother, Candy Spelling, to pay her rent.

In March 2017, Tori and her husband Dean were sued by City National Bank for failing to make payments totaling more than $200,000.

The bank alleged a few months later that the couple had never paid the debt and had been absent from court. After that, a warrant was issued against their names, which was eventually addressed in 2019.

There were also reports of Tori Spelling owing the Internal Revenue Service over $260,000 in delinquent taxes. This money, however, may have been paid by her subsequently.

Several sources stated last year that Tori and Dean were having marital problems as a result of their financial situation and Dean's infidelity in 2013.

The couple was said to be unable to afford a divorce lawyer and to have no prenuptial agreement.

In 2020, they lived in a $3.7 million Santa Monica property with their five children.

Tori Spelling has a total of 62 acting credits under her belt and is occasionally active in brand endorsements. Tori's relationship with her mother has improved recently, and Candy Spelling may be able to help her out of debt once more.
