Country singer Renee Blair is engaged to Jordan Schmidt! 

Jordan Schmidt put a ring on the singer on Friday when they were vacationing in Miramar Beach, Florida, PEOPLE confirmed.

The music producer popped the question and surprised his fiancee with a boat full of close friends and family members to celebrate the engagement. 

“Every second we are together feels like heaven on earth,” Renee told PEOPLE. “He’s the absolute man of my dreams and I can’t wait for forever together.”

Jordan added to the remark and said that he wanted to propose the moment they started dating back in July 2017. “It was truly love at first sight,” he admitted. “I knew from the first time I saw her I would ask her to marry me one day.”

Renee also took to Instagram to announce the good news as she posted a picture of the couple in the boat while showing off her ring. "I said YES!!!!!!!!!!💍❤️👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️"

Who is Jordan Schmidt?

Jordan Schmidt was born on February 26, 1988, in Duluth, Minnesota, United States. He is a multi-platinum songwriter and music producer who has worked with Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Jason Aldean, Granger Smith, Lady Antebellum, and many more famous artists.

Jordan was into music from a young age and had started playing the guitar at age 10 and began recording local artists at age 16.

It was in 2006 when Jordan started working as Matt Squire’s assistant and soon moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he became one of the Midwest’s most sought after producers as he produced and engineered for acts like Sing It Loud, Motion City Soundtrack, Quietdrive, You, Me and Everyone We Know, Paradise Fears, Jamestown Story, and The Role Call.

In 2012, Jordan and his brother/manager Dane moved to Nashville, Tennessee where they kicked up their first business venture, WeVolve Music. The two spent the following years dealing hundreds of syncs on shows like Jersey Shore, One Tree Hill, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant, The Challenge, Married at First Sight, Best Ink, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and several other popular shows.

Soon enough, the Schmidt brothers put their full focus on songwriting. It was in April 2015 when Jordan signed a publishing deal with Tree Vibes Music and enjoyed his first #1 song with Jason Aldean’s “Lights Come On” on July 22, 2016. He celebrated his second #1 with Kane Brown’s five-time Platinum hit “What Ifs” in October 2017, next with Jason Aldean’s four-time Platinum “You Make It Easy,” then Mitchell Tenpenny’s two-time Platinum “Drunk Me.”

Jordan got his fifth #1 song with Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country,” which won the category of Single of the Year for the 53rd Annual Country Music Association Awards, in addition to earning a Grammy nomination for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in the Best Country Solo Performance category.
