The actor was shooting for the film, Dangerous Waters in the Dominican Republic. He reportedly died in his sleep.
Despite the fact that no cause of death has been released to the public, insiders close to Liotta feel there was "nothing strange" about his death and that no foul play was involved.
The role of Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese's 1990 blockbuster Goodfellas brought Liotta international acclaim.

Jacy Nittolo was born on September 25, 1974, and is an Italian-American lady. She is the fiancée of Ray Liotta, and she is 48 years old. Prior to her engagement to Liotta, she was married to Joey Nittolo, a film producer.
Jacy Nittolo's personal life is unknown, however, she is not connected to the entertainment sector and is not a public personality.
According to reports, she began working in a salon at the age of 19 and had an interest in hairstyling and haircutting since she was 16 years old.

After her divorce from Joey Nittolo, Jacy Nittolo began dating Ray Liotta in 2019. The couple stayed out of the spotlight for the most part, however. Liotta discussed their relationship on the Live With Kelly and Ryan podcast in 2021.
The actor explained that he and Liotta met because their children encouraged them to date:
“My daughter who is 22, her son who is 21, they were at a party, Karsen, my daughter, met Jacy and said, ‘I want you to go out with my dad. I think you would be perfect for my dad.’”
Nittolo was first wary of the connection, according to Liotta, because of the former's profession:
“She said, ‘Oh, all right, well your dad, what does he do?’ She said, ‘He’s an actor,’ and she stopped right there, and I said, ‘I want nothing to do with an actor whatsoever.’”
He mentioned that Nittolo was concerned about their huge age difference and that Liotta was concerned about Nittolo's 10-year-old child:
“‘Wait a second, isn’t he in his 60s? I’m in my 40s.’ But the buzzkill for me was she also had a 10-year-old. And when you’re in your 60s, the last thing you want is a 10-year-old. Luckily this kid is very cool.”
