Nick Cannon is speaking out on the precedent of him having welcomed multiple children.
On the July 7 installment of Nick’s Power 106 Los Angeles radio show, the host claimed, “I’m having these kids on purpose. I didn’t have no accident.”
This Wednesday, during the radio show, City Girls rapper JT (born Jatavia Shakara Johnson) playfully advised Nick to “wrap it up,” and clarified his statement to “wrap it up as in wrap it up and protect yourself,” meaning, use protection to avoid pregnancies.
Nick then explained, “Trust me, there’s a lot of people that I could’ve gotten pregnant that I didn’t.” He continued, “The ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant.”
“I say YOLO,” Yung Miami, the other half of City Girls, added to the conversation. Nick then agreed to the comment, “There it is, you only live once.”
Earlier in the show, Nick even went as far as comparing his pattern of welcoming children to that of a seahorse, as he said, “I’m like a seahorse out here. That’s just the way I’m procreating.”
Nick became a father for the first time when he was with his ex-wife, Mariah Carey. They have 10-year-old twins: son Moroccan and daughter Monroe.
He has also welcomed twin sons, Zillion Heir and Zion Mixolydian, with a woman named Abby De La Rosa.
Before that, last December, Nick and model Brittany Bell welcomed their daughter, Powerful Queen. They also have a 4-year-old son named Golden “Sagon.”
Nick Cannon Welcomed Baby Boy with Alyssa Scott
Most recently, Nick welcomed a baby with the ‘Wild ‘N Out’ model, Alyssa Scott. Alyssa announced the birth of her baby boy with three black-and-white pictures on Instagram last Saturday.
The pictures showed her cradling the newborn baby in her arms.
The caption read, “I will love you for eternity (heart emoji) 6.23.21”
In June, Alyssa also appeared to share a tribute to Nick Cannon in honor of Father’s day.
The model posted a maternity photo. While Nick’s face wasn’t completely shown, the man’s tattoos gave his identity away as he appeared shirtless while holding Alyssa’s baby bump.
“Celebrating you today,” Alyssa wrote for Cannon, in the picture on her Instagram story.

The pregnancy news came after the model confirmed that Nick was her baby’s father in a now-deleted maternity shot that she posted in May 2021, alongside the caption with their baby’s name, ‘Zen S. Cannon.’
In the comments, Alyssa clarified that she was 34 weeks along in her pregnancy journey.
